N.Y.C based drummer currently playing for Ben Platt (recently: Ben Platt: Live at the Palace Theater & U.S./Canada Tour: The Honeymind Tour). He is a designated sub on Broadway's & Juliet and The Outsiders. Frequently recording drums and percussion out of Golden Girl Sounds & Studio G (Brooklyn based recording studios) for industry and independent artists & producers (remotely and in-person). Recent notable recording sessions and contributions include: Babylon (Paramount Pictures, 2022), 3rd and 4th season of the Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Kena: Bridge of Spirits (percussion, 2020 PS5 release), Panera Bread and DeLonghi Coffee commercial campaign. Also notable releases: "Beautiful and tragic" & "How I Loved My Cat", two 24-hour albums written and recorded by Adam Neely and Ben Levin; as well as sampling sessions for notable production duo CuBeatz.

He frequents as a music director and drummer for artists. Building, arranging & operating live backing tracks, running IEM mixes and contracting musicians. Josh was seen drumming on Saturday Night Live in a digital short with Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennet (2019) and on Good Morning America, with Ben Platt and previously as music director and drummer for pop singer Erin Bowman, (additional performance on Live! With Kelly and Ryan, 2017).

 

Josh was previously administrative faculty at NYU Steinhardt and Adjunct Instructor - Jazz Studies (Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions). Josh was a contributing final editor of the instructional drumming book "A World of Rhythmic Possibilities - Drumming Lessons and Reflections on Rhythms" by Dafnis Prieto (released May, 2016). Josh has a Masters in Jazz Performance (NYU) and two B.M.degrees: Music Education and Percussion Performance (West Chester University).
